Registration is finally live! 

Due to a little thing called The National Storytelling Festival, getting a registration link for my workshop this Thursday took longer than expected. But if you are free Thursday night, consider joining me online for Spicing Stone Soup: Breathing Life into Fairy Tales. When I taught this workshop at the Texas Storytelling Festival in March, we ended up having more folks in the room than we had chairs (not a problem on Zoom). It has been fun to come back to my notes and start tweaking them, seeing how I can bring something useful to folks that may have already taken a version of this workshop, or who already play with fairy tales.

Fairy Tale Variations: GHOSTS is now less than two weeks away and (gasp, shock, and other statements of amazement) I think I actually know what I am going to be telling.

I am excited to have been asked to present my workshop Spicing Stone Soup for the Youth, Educators, & Storytellers special interest group (part of the National Storytelling Network).

Fairy tales should be anything but dry! Join me as we explore how to approach the "freeze dried soup" of classic fairy tales. How to bring them to life, take them apart, rebuild them, and have some plain old fun telling fairy tales.

It's October, so we felt it was only right that we see what ghostly stories we can conjure up for you. Join Stories with Spirit as we explore just how close we are to the other side!

Five incredible storytellers will each bring you a unique ghostly adventure. Cooper Braun and Rachel Ann Harding are overjoyed to welcome back two old friends. Loren Niemi an avowed master of the ghost story. And Laura Deal, under whose soft exterior are chilling tales. We are so happy to welcome the one and only Motoko to our virtual stage for the first time. An amazing master of Japanese stories, she will show us ghosts so many of us never knew existed.
